On July 7, 2000 DeKalb Gallery opened its doors to the community and to fine artists providing a fine art venue in downtown DeKalb, Illinois.
The gallery offers opportunities for artists to exhibit and sell original fine art on a consignment basis. Most of DeKalb Gallery artists are from the DeKalb area, which includes Northern Illinois University. Resale consignment is limited.
The gallery also offers a modest showroom space for solo exhibitions and group shows featuring student and professional artists.
The gallery owner possesses the unique ability to professionally photograph art using either 35mm transparency film or top-quality digital equipment.
Custom framing art is another unique service, which offers various selections of acid free boards and glazing with built in ultraviolet light protection. Frame moulding can be ordered through various moulding companies around the country or a specialty hardwood moulding can be designed for special needs.
